Description

The CatDad & SuperMom tales are about the creators’ autistic child son and how he imagined how his son was working out the world in his mind as nonverbal. Jaxx seemed to be playing out the world in his as visual thoughts & imagination without words.  So as a creator trying to get Jaxx to respect written words and books he knew as a father would be so important to beat the autistic fog, he used his throy and evovled it so JAXX would work the problems he faced in his dreams as JAXX  tries to understand and figure out the world around him with the help of his father, a comic book creator and imgaes in his imagination and dreams.

JAXX the ANDERSIN

This is a story about how having Creative Parents and attending comic cons can have a positive effect on a child’s Imagination.

This story came from a moment at Fusion Con right here in Florida.  Jaxx was playing at a table with his Batman toys and as I watched him ( there is a video of it below) I was struck with the idea of big of the world he was experiencing, seeing so many different people at theses events and so many different costumes and impressive things.    Some con-goers came (right after I finished filming)  over to Jaxx and asked him about his toys.  They were very Nice to him and made Jaxx Smile and he loved the attention. It became clear that him going to Cons was going to have a lasting effect on him.

For weeks that stayed in my mind.  Then when someone asked me if I had any titles that where Family friendly that idea came to life in my mind as Jaxx the Andersin.

I wanted to tell the Story of how children of Creative Parents will be affected in a positive light as well as how their children might see the world from a different  Point of view

I reached out to my Facebook Artist Freinds and told them I wanted to make a Children’s Book that shows the effects of having a Parent as a Creator. To my Happy Surprise, many Artists wanted to be part of the project but Dave Brown’s passion stood out. He had sketches to me in Hours of me posting,  showing me just how much he got the project and wanted to be part of it. We formed a partnership and now, just meer weeks later we are on Kickstarter.
